Girideepam Business School is focused to transform young men and women to value-based management professionals with astute skills who can contribute to better management practices in India. As part of our student development programmes, we conducted an International study tour to Thailand and Malaysia from 19th February to 25th February 2017. The objective of the study tour was to provide MBA students nuances of management education outside India and to explore possibilities of international collaboration with Universities in Thailand and Malaysia. Girideepam MBA team visited Assumption University in Thailand. The students and faculty members had interaction with their counterparts in the University. The curriculum, pedagogy, and student development activities were discussed during the interaction. Girideepam team was able to explore opportunities for student and faculty exchange programmes, value added courses, and other academic endeavors from the popular University in Thailand. In Thailand, GBS Team also visited Toyota Bho Pho plant and had interaction with the management professionals.
In 2016, GBS Team had International study tour to Malaysia from 22nd to 26th February, 2016. Girideepam MBA team visited two Universities in Malaysia; University Kebangsaan, and Multi-Media University. Apart from academic visits, GBS team also visited two organizations; Royal Selangor Industries, and Beryl’s Chocolate Factory and had interaction with management professionals. The students belonging to different socio-economic backgrounds had the opportunity to visit a foreign country and enriched themselves on different learning dimensions. The international study tour is a part of our MBA program with effect from 2015 - 17 batch.
GBS conducted its third international study tour to Malaysia and Langawi Islands from 04th to 09th February, 2018. GBS Team visited the world famous Langawi Island and enjoyed popular sites like Sky Walk, Cable car ride, Mangrove Forest boating, Eagle Square etc.
GBS Team visited Telekom Malaysia, the largest telecom operator in Malaysia on 07th February, 2018. Senior Director of TM, Mr. Saravanan addressed GBS students and explained the growth of Telekom Malaysia. Our students and teachers visited various divisions of the large Organisation with hands on experience.
Our Business School has achieved another milestone by signing MOU with the famous Multi Media University in Malaysia. MMU is the first and largest private University in Malaysia with students from more than 79 countries. GBS has developed 6 verticals on Academic Collaboration and MMU has approved the same. GBS team was welcomed by the Vice President – International Affairs along with GSM Director, Prof. Dr. Saravanan Muthaiyah. Nine senior officials of MMU were also present for the ceremony.
